The Organisation Development Centre (OD Centre) is an independent, non-profit organisation, registered under the company code of Ghana. It is set up primarily to provide organisational capacity building and advisory services to organisations and leaders in Africa. The Centre specialises in process facilitation and the provision of advisory services that enhance organisational and team effectiveness as well as the competence of leaders. The trade mark of the OD Centre is the integrated application of gestalt organisational development principles, appreciative inquiry, systems thinking, group process, emotional and social intelligence as well as personal growth and mastery to enhance learning and the management of change at all levels of system in a multi-cultural environment.

Values and Beliefs The OD Centre is founded and operates from an optimistic worldview, believing that leaders and their organisations as systems tend to do their best at any given time; and that given the right stimuli and motivation people can change and even excel. The centre therefore operates from the perspective of supporting growth, rather than focusing on pathology.
In addition, the OD Centre operates by giving honour and validity to every individual’s subjective experience. This provides legitimacy in honouring differences and multiple realities, serving as a basis for the development and growth of common ground in pluralistic societies today.
Self-respect and respect for other people’s opinions and humanness, coupled with curiosity in the unfamiliar, constitute basic ingredients for the non-judgemental stance with which the OD Centre relates to all persons and systems.
