Akosua Agyeman is an Industrial/Organisational psychologist with international
experience in Africa, Europe and USA. After acquiring a Masters of
Philosophy in Industrial/Organisational Psychology from the University
of Ghana, Legon; Akosua Agyeman worked with Ghana Union Assurance
for 3yrs and then went on her own as a selfemployed Insurance Broker.
In 1984, Akosua started a small manufacturing company making leather
bags and belts. This grew and the business became the first company
in Ghana to produce kente bags: 10 years later, they were exporting
to Pier 1 an American company with over 600 outlets in the United
States.
During the 16 years lifespan of the company, before it was sold
in 2000, Akosua managed to deliver motivational talks on entrepreneurship,
and attain a diploma in entrepreneurship from Maastricht, Netherlands
in 1991. This followed on with certification by Management Systems
International, USA - Akosua was one of the 5 Ghanaians to be trained
for EMPRETEC.
In 2001, Akosua set up the consulting firm, Crossbridge Consult, which
trains and consults in entrepreneurship, business development and
organisational development. Always creatively academic, Akosua has
also published and held a 30 minute broadcast on Self Development
on Unique FM for a season. |
